The Editors
Thomas Clarke has taught at Nottingham Business School, the University of St Andrews, and is Visiting Professor at FGV Business School, Sao Paulo Brazil, and the European Foundation for Management Development China-Europe Management Institute. He has published widely on privatisation and advanced production strategies, and is on the editorial board of a number of management journals. For five years he was the chair of a film and video production company. Presently he is DBM Professor of Corporate Governance at Leeds Business School and is preparing a guide for company directors.
Elaine Monkhouse obtained a first class honours degree in management science at the University of Warwick business school. She was employed at BT working on the corporate response to privatisation. She moved on to the Stock Exchange working on information systems and organisational change, l^oth pre and post Big Bang. She then ran several small lousinesses in Yorkshire. Now she is Senior Lecturer in strategic management at Leeds Business School, and is conducting research on innovation, industrial investment and new measures of company performance.
