Dali on Modern Art The Cuckolds of Antiquated Modern Art Salvador Dali Spanish painter Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was not only one of the most influential and controversial painters of the 20th century, he was an outspoken critic of other artists and their work. In this highly opinionated attack, he skewers modern art- both its practitioners and its critics.
