I, Emmanuel, was born in the mountains of Cévennes in Southern France, but lived and loved the hüls and plains and rivers of Provence, though I have always been attracted with far-away shores. That's why, I studied English and Tourism and became a teacher of both.
As a teenager, I discovered photography and it quickly became the expression of my passion for Cévennes and Provence. The turning point in my life came in 1990 when I was offered a post as a teacher of French in India. I fell in love with India, and took thousands of pictures. I used them for the production of an audiovisual documentary for the French public. For many, it was the first time they could see the new India juxtaposed with age-old traditions. Then again, I fell in love, with an Indian woman this time; Yvette, who became my wife. Now Yvette and I, live with our son, Léo in Reunion, probably the most spectacular island of the Indian Ocean where harmony previiils between races and cultures.
