This book describes simulation models for the accumulation and leaching of chemicals in soils. It includes completely soluble substances (model substances: tritiated water and CI ions), partly adsorbed substances (model substances: Na, K, Ca and radioactive Sr) and strongly adsorbed substances (model substances: mercury and radioactive Cs). The last chapter is devoted to herbicides; as these are often volatile, transport via the gas phase is taken into account (model substances: propyzamide and BAM).
Parameter sensitivity analysis is included for the model that describes the behaviour of the herbicides and for the one that describes what happens to in the field. Usually the results of the calculations are compared with data, obtained from experiments with undisturbed soil columns in the laboratory or from measurements in the field. The computer programs are written in CSMF-III. This is a language, specially developed for continuous system simulation, and can be compared with... Tovább

This is a language, specially developed for continuous system simulation, and can be compared with languages such as CSSL and DSLH. In general these languages are related to FORTRAN but they are more readable because of their many subroutines. Moreover, they contain a number of mathematical subroutines especially suitable for simulation techniques; these subroutines greatly facilitate the treatment of non-linear functions and the use of numerical integration methods. In this book the relevant subroutines are explained when they are used. Vissza
