The English edition of this monograph is bound to meet with international interest since the paprika is gaining increasing popularity in many countries not only because of its flavour but also on account of its high vitamin C content. It is no accident that paprika has become known all over the world by its Hungarian name. Its major role in Hungarian diet is traditional, and so are its production and export, consequently the abundant experiences gained in its cultivation and research are definitely worth attention.
