This album, the second volume of the Budapest Balletis devoted to the activities of the Ballet Company of the Hungarian State Opera House during the period 1968-1978.
These years have seen the creation of new choreographies, the rise of new artists and the introduction of new works from abroad. The company has acquired an international reputation. While cherishing the classical romantic heritage of the nineteenth century and the Neo-Classical trends of the twentieth century, the repertoire has been extended to include the contemporary idiom.
These developments, lavishly illustrated, are described by Géza Körtvélyes, Secretary-General of the Association of Hungarian Dancers.
