Although born in Austin, Texas, Celia Ann Brock-Al Ansari was raised in the United Arab Emirates where she developed a life-long love and fascination for the desert and the indigenous way of life of its inhabitants.
For the past fifteen years she has enjoyed a passionate interest in the preparation and cooking of Arabic food and travelled tirelessly as part of her research into her first extensive compilation of Arabic cuisine.
Married with four sons, she lives in Dubai but travels at least three times a year to her farm back in Texas.
A keen humanitarian, she also enjoys charity work and aims to set up her own foundation within the next few years.
