GIORGIO NORIGIANI
Nurigiani was born in Leghorn, Italy, on 23rd September 1892. He graduated in law at the University of Rome and then went to Sofia, where he acted as correspondent of various Italian newpapers. From 1919 to 1930 he was head of he press office at the Italian Legation in the Bulgarian capital.
Giorgio Nurigiani's works show him to be a versatile, creative writer of refined taste, a redoubtable contro versialist and keen scholar. With unflagging enthusiasm he has devoted his gifts as a man of letters and philosopher to the study of problems of the Slav world, and of the cultural history of Italy, Bulgaria, and Macedonia. He has also distinguished himself in some other fields with his penetrating intellect and profound erudition.
