Everyone has heard them: for years their sermons and pleas for contributions have poured from radios and televisions in every corner of the country. They are some of the most powerful people in America, yet very little is known or been written about them.

James Morris was born and spent most of his life in Oklahoma. For the past two decades he has been gathering material for this book, often driving hundreds of miles to attend a particularly interesting tent revival or healing service. He served in the Marines during W.W. II and Korea, was a technical writer for the FAA and has taught college. He presently makes his home in London.
