Selected and translated by PliTKR ZOLLMAN
Sándor Kányádi (1929-) is a native of Transylvania and has lived since 1950 at Kolozsvár (Cluj) in Romania. He studied Hungarian philology at the then autonomous Bolyai University and graduated in 1954. He has worked for various journals since, and has spent many years on the staff of the Hungarian-language children's magazine Napsugár. In 1993 he was awarded the Kossuth Prize in Hungary, and in 1955 the Austrian Herder Prize. Sándor Kányádi ranks among the greatest living Hungarian poets,... Tovább

What is most impressive in KAnyAdi is his passion and
control His aund and spirit are disciplined PeTER zollman has, I believe, succeeded in making K/\nyadi fascinating, compulsive reading in english.
