This Island, tucked away in a remote comer of the world continues to inspire artists, photographers, authors and poets. Isolated when the sea level rose 10,000 years ago, its castaways thrived in an environment of rugged beauty: ice-sculptured peaks and lakes, windswept ocean beaches, secluded tranquil bays, tangled rainforest, and button grass plains. Fortunately much of it was too tough to tame and remains as it has always been, remote and protected by World Heritage status. When the isolation was breached 200 years ago, the newcomers built their own little corner of England, much of which survives today in the form of grand sandstone buildings, charming villages and rolling farmland. This Island: Tasmania is a photographic essay of this unique and wonderful island, interspersed with interesting facts and anecdotes.

He has been awarded Fellow of the Tasmanian Photographic Federation (FTPF), Fellow of the Australian Photographic Society (FAPS) and Artiste de la Federation Internationale de I'Art Photographique (AFIAP).
