PRACTICAL MICROCOMPUTER PROGRAMMING: THE INTEL 8080 is the first book to address directly the difficulties of microcomputer application programming. The book is specific and to the point, not theoretical or general. Consisting of eighteen chapters, it contains more than 80 example programs which illustrate the solutions to problems commonly faced by the application programmer. These examples can be used as presented to form parts of application programs.
¦ Among the topics covered are multiple precision arithmetic, software multiplication and division, subroutines and stack pointer use, binary-decimal and decimal-binary conversions, table handling and input/output operations, including the control of complex peripheral devices.
¦ Also explained and illustrated with examples are interrupt driven processes, a subject often omitted from programming books. Program debugging methods are also treated in depth.
