Author Wayne A. Kirkbride
Wayne Kirkbride graduated from West Point in 1972 to begin a career in tiie US Army wiiicii included infantry, special forces and airborne assignments as he commanded troops in the 101 st Airborne Division, 82nd Airborne Division, and the 5th and 7th Special Forces.
He has spent over 6 years in Korea as the Battalion Adjutant for the 2nd Battalion 9th Infantry on the DMZ, as a command engineer for the 19th Support Command, and as a teacher at the International Christian School-Euijeongbu. He retired from the army as a lieutenant colonel. He has a M.A. degree in international relations from Old Dominion University. He served as the liaison officer to the 1st ROK Army Reconnaissance Company during Operation Paul Bunyan in August 1976.
