• Wayne C. Booth is the George M. Pullman Professor of English, The University of Chicago. He won Christian Gauss Award (Phi Beta Kappa) in 1962 and the Dávid H. Russell Award for Distin-guished Research (National Council of Teachers of English) in 1966 for The Rhetoric of Fiction.
