Included are original concepts and discoveries, as well as ideas which have led to practical advances in areas such as medicine, biotechnology, education, industry, electronics, computers, and economics.
Dr. Chaim Weizmann, a noted chemist who later became the first President of the State of Israel, founded the Institute with a vision: He saw how important science would be in reclaiming the desert lands of Israel, in generating industry, achieving economic viability and reaching out to the nations of the world. "The Institute," said Dr. Weizmann, "is the translation of a dream into reality. It can achieve much for the good of Israel and when peace comes to the f^iddle East for the good of our neighbors and the good of mankind." Vissza
