The material for the second year consists of: a reading book a workbook a cassette cue cards a teacher's book
In Reading Book 2 illustrated rhymes, songs, and short stories are introduced for the children to listen to and read or talk about. The Workbook follows the pattern of Zig Zag Year /.Drawing, colouring, puzzles, and writing exercises help to reinforce the language which has been orally learnt. In Workbook 2 there is increasing emphasis on the reading and writing skills. The exercises range from copying and answering questions to the free composition of letters to pen-friends. At the same time as practising what they are learning the children also have the opportunity of completing their own workbook in English.
